About KP

My name is Kelly, wife to one, mom to four, second to none. I’m a city girl, raised in the greater Chicagoland area, which has made living in the Dakotas for more than fourteen years rather interesting.

I’ve been married for over 19 years to Paul, whom I met in a racquetball class in college. We are committed to the vows we made to one another. The result is a marriage filled with hard work, laughter, love, and thankfulness.

My oldest child Emma is my mini-me. She parallels me in so many ways that I am often scared….and apologize to my parents and sisters for what I put them through. Emma makes life fun because I get to hang with myself whenever I want. The middle child is Hezekiah. He’s a sweet angel who loves to clown around. I’m daily intrigued by his clever, analytical brain. Rounding out the litter are Olivia and Levi, twins who could not be any more different. Olivia is the world’s welcoming committee as she flits from person to person bringing joy into their lives. She is a gift. Levi is all boy and much like my side of the family. I think we might be in some serious trouble as he ages. I love my blessings, cherish them, and am quite shocked that God chose me to parent them. Well….except for Emma. That was a given.

Facetune
As a young girl, I dreamed of writing but shoved hope away when the responsibilities of adulthood hit. God awakened my dream, and I passionately write the realities of life. I try to fill each day with scripture, love, and laughter. I write about Jesus, diabetes, marriage, friendship, culture, and my very impassioned belief life does not have to suck. Fasten your seatbelts. Enjoy the ride.
